Message from the Executive Officer of sustainability
Deepeng the sustainability of the Moriroku Group
In our 13th Mid-Term Management Plan, the Moriroku Group identified the Material Sustainability Issues (Materiality) and positioned FY2022 as the "First Year of Sustainability." Since then, we have established a dedicated sustainability department and a change in employee awareness. These efforts have achieved a certain level of results in areas such as responding to climate change, diversity and inclusion, and the development of a human rights due diligence system.
In our 14th Med-Term Management Plan, which launched in FY2025, we redefined the important sustainability issues in response to the changes in the business environment and growing social demands. We have organized 12 key items from the dual perspectives of “Value Creation” and “Risk Management”, aiming to increase corporate value sustainably by seeing the development of environmentally friendly products and the promotion of active participation by diverse human resources as opportunities for growth. Investment in human capital is essential to achieve this goal, and we are committed to nurturing the next generation of talent, promote internal collaboration, and strengthen our business foundation through DX. As an executive in charge of Corporate Planning and Sustainability promotion, my mission is to serve as a bridge between management and the front lines of business. I am committed to enhancing corporate value by driving both earning power and ability to create social value as two essential pillars of growth.
Furthermore, based on the "Agility Management" outlined in the 14th Mid-Term Management Plan, we will build a system that accurately identifies internal and external demands in a rapidly changing business environment, enabling us to make swift decision-making and adjust flexibly to our track revisions. Through close and continuous dialogue with management and business divisions, we will lead the drive in enhancement of the management capabilities of the entire Moriroku Group. We consider solving social issues and achieving sustainable growth as important management priority. By deepening collaboration with our diverse stakeholders, including customers, business partners, local communities, shareholders and investors, and employees, and accelerating the creation of "new value," Moriroku will strive to achieve sustainable and continuous growth.
