Sustainability Promotion in the Moriroku Group

Moriroku Group has set “Enhancing Management Resilience through the Promotion of Sustainability Activities” as the basic strategy of its 13th Mid-Term Management Plan, and is promoting sustainability management aimed at a sustainable future from the three perspectives of “environment,” “society,” and “economy.” Through this initiative, we aim to create both social and economic value by working to improve capital efficiency and strengthen our business foundation while addressing environmental and social issues.

While sustainability activities are sometimes viewed as a form of risk management, but they are not limited to that function. We view social issues as potential business opportunities and aim to leverage them to create business synergies and drive new business growth. One of our key materiality themes, "developing and providing products and solutions that solve social issues," presents a significant challenge for the future. We are addressing this challenge through a collaborative project structure that combines the resources and expertise of the entire group. These activities enhance the Group's unique competitive advantage and at the same time directly contribute to solving social issues.

Going forward, the Sustainability Committee, in conjunction with the Board of Directors, will continue to lead the entire group in addressing a wide range of topics, including the development of environmentally friendly products, reduction of CO2 emissions, respect for human rights, and improvement of employee engagement, in order to realize a sustainable future.
